Synage FB-DIMMs, utilizing DRAM from Samsung, Elpida, and PSC, come in capacities of 512MB, 1GB, and 2GB. In addition Synage FB-DIMMs employ the most Advanced Memory Buffer (AMB) chips in order to achieve the highest performance possible.
Synage FB-DIMMs will initially target server platforms with (8/16/32/64) standard DIMM slots. FB-DIMMs have an AMB chip at the center of the module for protocol conversions. The automatic dynamic control of dies from the AMB can optimize the read/write status of dies to solve compatibility issues among dies as well as impedance match issues. According to Intel, FB-DIMM technology will provide systems with support of up to 192 GB through six channels, eight modules per channel and 4GB per module incorporating 1Gb DRAM devices.

Synage today announced it is demonstrating a DDR-II high-density server platform this week at JEDEC Beijing. This is the first demonstration of a high-density DDR-II server platform in the industry.

Synage breaks new ground in DDR-II implementation Advanced Technology and Strategic Marketing ,We are extending our leadership in DDR-II enablement by demonstrating a platform with double the amount of DDR-II in the memory channel. This will be the first look server verdor will have at a high-density DDR-II platform. Our server customers can use this evaluation platform to help design their own server solutions .

The high-density DDR-II platform uses Samsung .PCS DRAM components and modules, as well as internally-developed memory controllers and signal analysis software. The DDR-II server platform is performing from 400 to 667 Mbps per pin and achieving a system bandwidth of 5300MB per second.
