SunComm samples mobile AP router

CeBIT to most manufacturers is the year’s first opportunity to show new and old clients their new product offerings for the second and third quarters of the year. It provides an opportunities for Asian manufacturers to visit their European clients as well.
At the show, Eurotrade Magazine learned that SunComm Technology (www.suncomm.com.tw) of Taiwan was at the show to promote its new SC-MOR600 pictured here.
The SC-MOR600 is a mobile access point router that is compatible with 3G/3.5G/WiMAX mobile signals.
It offers the ability to share mobile broadband access at speeds up to 3.6Mbit/s and 802.11g connected stations from anywhere the signal is available. It is suitable for ITSP, multi-branch offices or SOHO & Hot Spot applications combined with wireless broadband accessing.
SunComm has been providing networking and communications solutions since 1977. The company also provides GSM VoIP gateways, GSM E1 channel banks, VoIP gateways, SIP Proxy Servers for 200 subscribers, SIP IP PBX, and more.
To provide cost-effective services to its clients, SunComm maintains a Dong Guan Liaison Office.
The company’s new mobile access point router, as well as other latest solutions will be on show during June 3 to 7 at 2008 Taipei COMPUTEX, Hall 1, Booths A704 and A706.

Innovative business networking ideas at CeBIT from ASUS

In Hall 26, ASUS (www.asus.com) targeted at business and SOHO workers in this year’s CeBIT exhibition, showing a new range of networking, server and mobile computing solutions that empowers higher business efficiency with security----the environmentally friendly way.
ASUS’ Green Design servers feature energy saving server power supplys, and are able to improve power efficiency, reduce heat dissipation and save up to 45 percent power loss. The servers that include these advancements include the RS160-E5, and the RS100-E5/PI2.
For instance, ASUS RS160-E5 Server picture here Combines Energy-Savings with multiple I/O solutions Without sacrificing expandability.
The RS160-E5 server is designed for the mainstream 1U DP server market segment. Featuring the ASUS PIKE technology, the RS160-E5 can support/upgrade with SAS/SAS RAID without sacrificing expansion slots and provide users with the best cost/performance choice for cluster, gaming, and various computing power demanding applications.
In general, users may buy servers with SAS or SATA storage separately, but now, all they need is a SAS upgrade kit to provide flexible storage options. The optional PIKE 1064E SAS (with Integrated RAID 0, 1, 1E support) or PIKE 1078 SAS RAID (with Hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 support) will provide customers with multiple I/O solutions, while not sacrificing expandability in any way.
The noise emitted from servers, especially the noise from system fans, can lead to non-conducive working environments. ASUS’ Quiet-Server technology is now able to facilitate customers by providing a quiet working environment (as low as 36dBA) in a 1U dual-processor server system with intelligent fan speed control solution.
The RS160-E5 is equipped with a high power efficiency power supply to reduce power loss of up to 45%, which will help save energy costs----especially for IDC, HPC and Enterprises with 24x7 non-stop server services. 6 DIMM slots provide support for DDR2 533/667 Reg. ECC up to 48GB memory space – which provides excellent computing capabilities while reducing heat generation from memory modules.
Also at the show, ASUS networking innovations integrated several communication functions into a single package to provide easy and convenient wireless data and voice transfers. Supporting both VoIP and traditional telephone calls, the ASUS AX112W provides users with a variety of means to enjoy secure and stable communications.
For mobile computing solutions, the complete line of ASUS notebooks offers a smart balance of mobility and performance with comprehensive security features that protect with both software as well as hardware solutions. ASUS protected computing starts with a fingerprint scanner that reads from the live layer of skin for accuracy and precision. The ASUS Security Protect Manager offers multi-factor authentication requirements for data access of different security level. Secured data is encrypted and stored in the hardware-based Trusted Platform Module (TPM) ensuring end-to-end security and avoid attacks by hackers looking to capture passwords and encryption keys.
In addition, the full ASUS notebook line is eco-friendly with RoHS compliancy. The F6S has recently received the Energy Star certificate with more models to follow suit soon in an effort to deliver green mobile computing solutions. For an efficient energy management, the exclusive Power4 Gear eXtreme is especially designed that extends the battery life up to 20-25 percent.
ASUS is a leading company in the new digital era. With a global staff of more than 8000 and a world-class R&D design team, the turnover for 2007 was 6.9 billion U.S. Dollars. ASUS has been ranked in Business Week InfoTech 100 for 10 consecutive years, and has been ranked No.1 by the Wall Street Journal Asia for best quality products in Taiwan.
