LABAU upgrades POS solutions



     LABAU Technology Corporation (www.labau.com.tw) durSing CeBIT in Hall 17 showed updated designs of its outstanding POS (Point-of-Sales) solutions.
     Founded in 2000, the Taiwan-based company designs and manufactures such POS related peripherals AS thermal printerS, laser barcode scanners, magnetic stripe readerS, customer displays, programmable POS keyboardS, cash drawers, and more.
     One of the new additions to its thermal receipt printers is the TM120 2” thermal receipt printer that features printer speed at 80/180 mm per second.
     The 12V/24DC model is compatible with ESC POS command, and is offered with 2 paper font options: 9 x 17 snd 2 x 24.
     It comes iwth an auto cutter and tear bar.
     The TM120 supports print-out resolution up to 203 dpi and is available in a variety of bright colors.
     Another updated product on show was the LD240 Vacuum Florescent Display. This customer display sports a new and bigger screen, adjustable poles. The LD240’s panel dimension is 220mm(W) x 50mm(D) x 86mm(H).
     Language support include English, French, German, Swedish, Danish, Italian, Spanish, Norwegian, Japanese (katakana), Slavonic and Russian.
     It is a good companion to the company’s ST-150 POS system, which is cost-effectively powered by the Intel Celeron M 1.2GHz processor.
     With a 15 inch display the ST-150 offers much I/O flexibility, with Serial port x 4, Parallel port x 1, USB 2.0 port x 4, PS/2 Mini-Din keyboard port x1 & Mouse port x 1,VGA port x 1, and RJ-45 Ethernet port x 1 features. The system also has an audio line-out port and a mic-in port. It is a muttifunctionals solution ideal for shops, restaurants and hospitiality services.
     Among the other items showcased this year was the company’s small and durable LM230 magnetic stripe readers. Bi-directional swipe in design, the LM230 is capable of reading any combination of three tracks. Card swipe speed supported is 12.7 to 114.3 cm/sec. Lifetime of the head is about 1 million passes.










JBei.net sales platform introduced at CeBIT



     In Hall 19’s China Pavilion JBei.net Limited promoted its JBei.net online and offline sales platform that is comprised of actual and virtual shops: JBeiShop is the online shopping service, while JBeiLo is a local site where buyers can actually go see product displayed in small kiosks.
     The kiosks may be set up in broad range of sites, including convenience stores, Internet cafes, beauty salon, etc. These point-of-information sites can also serve as payment and pickup centers.
     This way sellers can keep inventory and rent at a minimum. Payment in China is made through the China Union Pay online platform or at localized ATM-machines. established in March 2002 and with the approval of the country’s State Council and the People’s Bank of China. It operates the unified nationwide inter-bank bankcard transaction settlement system, providing participants in bankcard sector with basic bankcard services such as inter-bank information switching, settlement data processing, standards & regulations, risk prevention, etc. CUP commits itself to providing people with high-quality, safe and efficient bankcard services, and maintaining the security of Chinese national financial information.

     According to Alan Chan, CEO of JeBei.net, the B2C solution helps retailers connect with their clients through the JBeiLo designation points.
     For these merchants, the company offers incentives through a lifetime commission program.
