OCZ highlghts DDR3 memory, power for nForce 790i Ultra

As the leader in high performance memory, OCZ unveiled a new ultra-high speed DDR3 memory modules developed for the impending NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI-based products.
Running at blazing speeds of 2.1GHz, the OCZ raises the bar and offers gamers a premium solution that can unleash the full potential of the awaited NVIDIA DDR3 platform.
The PC3-16000 DDR3 modules that are NVIDIA SLI certified to run at extreme 2GHz speeds on the next generation of NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI motherboards also released today.
Designed to offer enthusiasts the rock-solid stability and speed they’ve been demanding since the mainstreaming of DDR3 platforms, the OCZ PC3-16000 SLI-Ready series makes use of the unbeatable overclocking capabilities of the nForce 790i Ultra SLI platform and takes DDR3 to new heights.
“OCZ is excited to partner with NVIDIA on the launch of the new nForce 790i Ultra SLI platform which is a DDR3 overclocking dream come true for enthusiasts,” commented Alex Mei, executive vice president and CMO, OCZ Technology Group.”By releasing a range of EPP 2.0 DDR3 kits as well as our ESA Certified PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 1200 PSU alongside the nForce 790i Ultra SLI launch, we are able to provide a robust total solution to consumers looking for a unique combination of unbeatable overclocking and easy monitoring in real time.”
“We are proud to work with OCZ Technology on a wide spectrum of products, including their cutting-edge EPP 2.0 DDR3 SLI Memory-certified memory, which helps expand our overall enthusiast ecosystem,” said Tom Petersen, director of technical Marketing for MCP Business Unit at NVIDIA. ““By working together, we are able to provide our customers a complete solution that takes full advantage of the full performance capabilities of our new nForce 790i Ultra SLI platform.”
Each OCZ PC3-16000 SLI-Ready memory module features EPP 2.0, the next generation of the widely adopted EPP 1.0 SPD (Serial Presence Detect) specification.
Delivering enhanced system performance, OCZ EPP 2.0 modules are programmed to boot at 2000MHz DDR3 with aggressive timings of 9-8-8.
Only motherboards equipped with the custom-designed NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra BIOS can detect the optimized SPD profiles and ensure the memory functions under the best possible conditions.
The exclusive OCZ SPD profiles take out the guesswork and provide enthusiasts and gamers with significant overclocked performance with no manual adjustment or compatibility issues.
As part of the NVIDIA SLI technology ecosystem, these modules undergo a rigorous series of tests by NVIDIA and are certified to provide enthusiasts and gamers the performance, compatibility, and stability they seek when building an SLI gaming system.
Tailored specifically for the NVIDIA gamer, each OCZ DDR3 certified memory kit features the exclusive black SLI-Ready XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreader for the most efficient heat dissipation, and a look that stands out like its performance.
With the fusion of the sophisticated EPP 2.0 memory specification, high-speed OCZ DDR3 architecture, the new OCZ PC3-16000 kits are the ultimate breakthrough for advanced SLI platform gaming performance.
PC Power and cooling continues to be a frontrunner in the latest advancements of the industry.
Demonstrating the benefits of the Enthusiast System Architecture (ESA) in its latest PSU, the 3-way SLI Certified Turbo-Cool 1200W ESA was on display as one of the first units to adopt this technology and be available to the market.
The latest ESA-ready desktop system from Hypersonic, part of the OCZ group, was demonstrated featuring the Turbo-Cool 1200 ESA, showcasing the benefits of this revolutionary new direction for high-end gaming and workstations.
Also leading the group in the ultra high-end computing market at CeBIT, Hypersonic set the precedent for mobile computing.
Hypersonic’s boutique gaming systems and notebooks will be introduced to an exclusive European user-base. Implementing the latest Intel and NVIDIA technology, select models from the Aviator, Aero, and Avenger lines will be on display for the public to see for the first time.
Recently entering mass production, the final edition of the Neural Impulse Actuator (NIA) was on display for users to try out the new and electrifying way of playing PC games.
The final version of the NIA uses a sleek, metal housing, a USB 2.0 interface, a streamlined headband with carbon interface sensors, and user-friendly software.
The NIA is the first commercially available product of its kind, and gamers around the world now have access to this forward-thinking technology that’s had the industry buzzing since its inception.
The NIA is not a replacement for a mouse but rather a pioneering new peripheral designed to provide an immersive experience for gamers.
The NIA is the first commercially available BCI (brain-computer interface) specifically for PC gamers.
“Advances in hardware and software allow today’s games to offer consumers an exceptional entertainment experience, and we wanted to take the next step by immersing gamers into these environments with the innovative new NIA,” stated Ryan Petersen, CEO of the OCZ Technology Group. “The NIA radically changes the ways that gamers can interact and control elements within games, and can be configured in a matter of minutes for any game that is already published or will be released.”
The commands are easily assigned with the NIA’s user-friendly software and are calibrated based on the individual’s physiology and personal preferences. Each of the Actuator’s signals can be assigned to a specific keystroke on the keyboard or a mouse button; consequentially, gamers can run, jump, and fire faster all without “lifting a finger.” Because the NIA converts EEG (electroencephalograph) signals into specified keystrokes, the device can be used with any software.
Upon proper configuration, the NIA will allow users to control PC games without the use of a keyboard and minimal use of a mouse.
“This year OCZ is showcasing a myriad of ground-breaking products, designed to improve productivity and further immerse consumers in the entertainment experience offered through next generation computing,” commented Alex Mei, Executive Vice President and CMO of the OCZ Technology Group.
“Among the new products and solutions we will present to gamers, overclockers, and enthusiasts are the world’s fastest memory modules, the most powerful single-rail ESA certified PSU, and our mass production Neural Impulse Actuator (NIA) which radically changes the ways that gamers can interact and control elements within games,” he added.
