Recharge Asia returns to Singapore in June 2008 with plans for an expanded RechargExpo trade show for the imaging industry. Heralded as a smashing success, RechargExpo 2007 and its Pre-Show Asia Imaging Forum (AIF) attracted an estimated 1,500 Visitors to 136 Booths on the Exhibit Floor. The new venue, the Singapore Expo, is the largest exhibition hall and convention center in Southeast Asia. It has 10 halls, each with 10,000 square meters of floor space, for a total of 100,000 square meters, or roughly 1 million square feet!
As an indicator of the satisfaction that most Exhibitors experienced, Recharge Asia Corporation Director Sunny Sun noted, "Before this year's show ended, at least 70 Exhibitors had already signed up for 100 booths at RechargExpo Singapore 2008!"
Mr. John Shane is among the distinguished Speakers on the Pre-Show AIF 2008 Program. Shane, a Director of InfoTrends (Weymouth, MA), has been serving clients in the imaging supplies market since 1988. He is primarily responsible for subjects related to imaging consumables such as toner, developer, photoreceptors, ink jet inks and cartridges, laser cartridges, thermal transfer ribbons and impact ribbons. Shane is a world-renowned authority on the subject of all-in-one toner cartridges and on the dynamics of the cartridge remanufacturing industry.
SINGAPORE: CLEAN, CENTRAL, CONVENIENT, AND SAFE
Singapore lies at the crossroads of Asia. It is a small tropical island of only 617 square kilometers, just one degree north of the Equator. Located at this geographical vantage point, Singapore is the world's largest seaport and the fourth largest financial center after London, New York and Tokyo. Singapore is a peaceful, safe, and clean environment; small wonder why it consistently attracts global travelers, vacationers, and business officials.
Ms. Sun noted, "There is no question that Singapore is the optimum South Pacific location as it is one of the world's cleanest and safest cities accessible for all Asian companies in the imaging industry."
Indeed, in June 2007 they came to RechargExpo Singapore from Asian cartridge remanufacturers, and toner, OPC drum, ink jet ink and imaging hardware manufacturers in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippine Islands, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Many also came from Europe, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and North and South America.
In 2008, two world-class events¬–Asia Imaging Forum (AIF), June 24-25, and RechargExpo, June 25-27–will be held at the Singapore Expo Centre. Visitors from many of the same countries will gather to exchange information, discuss the latest technologies, consummate business deals, and establish new business and personal relationships. RechargExpo Singapore 2008 will feature 250 exhibit booths and is expected to attract 2,000 attendees. More than half of the booths have already been reserved.
In addition to face-to-face talks with company representatives on the Exhibit Floor, Visitors can attend an important series of hands-on cartridge remanufacturing sessions. These training demonstrations will bring technicians and supervisors up to speed on the latest techniques, procedures, standards, and components being used by rechargers worldwide.
THE AIF PROGRAM
Conference Chairman Graham J. Galliford said, "The AIF program is being planned to deliver one and a half days of information-packed Sessions. These talks and discussions are designed to enhance our participants' understanding and knowledge of the mature Western and fast-growing Asian markets. We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer 13 extremely informative Sessions featuring industry leaders who possess hands-on experience, demonstrated industry knowledge, and engaging presentation skills."
