Proscend announces 4-Wire/4.6Mbps G.SHDSL Routers
|
Proscend has announced 4-Wire G.SHDSL Routers to provide users with a cost-effective broadband access alternative to replace expensive leased lines. The 5000 series 4.6Mbps G.SHDSL Routers and NTU Modems are designed to meet market demands, supporting VLAN setting of up to eight WANs to provide users with more bandwidth and with more add-on-value features.
The Proscend 5000 series features easy configuration and management with password control for various application environments. It has efficient IP routing and a transparent learning bridge to support Internet broadband services. Virtual LANs (VLANs) offer significant benefit in terms of efficient use of bandwidth, flexibility, performance, and security.
Proscend's 4-Wire Routers have VPN pass-through for safeguard connections. In addition, it has a built-in advanced SPI firewall (Firewall Router) and gives IP precedence to partition the traffic into multiple classes of service. These G.SHDSL Routers provide four 10/100M Base-T Auto-sensing, Auto-negotiation and Auto-MDIX switching ports for flexible local area network connectivity.
A DMZ host /Multi-DMZ /Multi-NAT function enables multiple workstations on the LAN to access the Internet, saving the cost of IP addresses. The 5000 series has PPPoA and PPPoE support for user authentication with PAP /CHAP /MS-CHAP. Additionally, it has SNMP management with SNMPv1 /SNMPv2 agents and MIB II. These Routers feature a full ATM protocol stack implementation over SHDSL. Enhancements and new features can be obtained via Internet software upgrades. The 5000 series routers are powered by 100-240VAC via a power adapter.
