Argus Technologies has released the IS5208 2 WAN Firewall VPN Router. The IS5208 Router is a high performance security router that enables users to simply and securely connect their network to the Internet without worry of intruders from the Internet. According to Argus, the IS5208's performance is one of the best for its class in the industry.
The IS5208 is an ideal solution for SOHOs and SMBs that require both a high speed Internet access and also a safe and secure access environment at the same time. The 2-WAN port design doubles the bandwidth of the access. It also provides a load balance between the two ports, with each port automatically failing over to the other port if the connection to the ISP is dropped.
One of the WAN ports can be configured as a DMZ port to allow all the servers to be accessed from the Internet. Argus includes the latest Intruder Prevention technologies that can analyze and discard all hazardous packets before they come into the network. The Anti-SPAM feature is based on real-time pattern recognition and an auto-learning anti-spam engine in the box. With a built-in Anti-Virus engine, the device is able to filter any virus from e-mail and support real-time pattern update functions. Argus has also integrated the latest firewall technologies in the VPN Router. The VPN is based on standard IPSec technology, including 168-bit Triple-DES, 56-bit DES, AES, Internet Key Exchange (IKE) authentication, encryption, and firewall to provide secure data access.
