Nalcom makes 48-Port 10/100 Ethernet Switch
|
Nalcom has made the PRIMESwitch series PS-2482 Ethernet Switch as a cost-effective business solution. The PRIMESwitch has 48 ports of 10/100 Fast Ethernet in an Unmanaged Switch format with Gigabit Ethernet uplinks.
The PRIMESwitch delivers wirespeed Layer 2 switching for small to large-size network environments that do not require management functions. The Switch is designed with 48 10/100 NWay ports and three modular slots for two-port copper/fiber Gigabit connections and an 8-Port 10/100 NWay extension to increase port density up to 56 ports. The Switch can be configured to operate high-speed 10/100/1000 for fixed copper backbone or 1000BaseLX/SX for fixed fiber backbone.
Designed with Auto-MDI/MDIX detect on all ports, the Switch can identify and adapt to different types of Ethernet cables. Auto-sensing ports detect and adjust to the speed of the connected devices to optimize network performance. The Switch can be installed as a free-standing or rack-mount Switch. The standard 19-inch, one unit-high metal housing enhances limited office space. The aesthetic design and construction will provides long-lasting reliability and is easy to install under any networking conditions.
The built-in modular slots provide flexible connections for use as uplinks, or connections to servers or other switches via a selection of Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet transceiver modules. The PS-2482 delivers wirespeed Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet throughput and a switching capacity of up to 13.6 Gbps aggregation bandwidth to handle up to 1522 bytes packet length. The front panel LED indicators provide easy-to-monitor network status and information to simplify diagnostics and troubleshooting. The Switch is designed with a hardware configured setup that does not require configuration and management software during installation. See Nalcom Technology at Hall 3, G042 for more information.
