Asustek introduces Pocket Sized Access Point

Asustek has introduced the WL-330g, a pocket sized Access Point and Wireless Adapter. The WL-330g is extremely compact and portable. The unit is as small as a deck of cards.

The WL-330g is an ideal Wireless LAN device for both home and office environments, providing Internet access capability. By simply connecting the WL-330g to the Ethernet RJ45 on the wall, the wireless environment is set up and ready for use. The WL-330g eliminates wires and cables. The WL-330g, as an Ethernet adapter, converts all devices with Ethernet support into wireless devices. Whether it's desktop PCs, set-top boxes, game consoles, printers or notebooks, the WL-330g is an ideal, flexible and practical solution.

The WL-330g is a driver-free, plug-and-play WLAN device. For basic configuration, users plug the WL-330g to Ethernet-capable devices. Knowledge of TCP/IP is not required. The WL-330g is defaulted to search and connect the AP with the strongest signal. With the user-friendly setup wizard, configuring the WL-330g is a walk in the park. With two powerful built-in antennas, the WL-330g enables stronger signals at farther distances compared with competing 802.11b devices.

The WL-330g provides wireless security to ensure content is safe and protected. It has 64 /128-bit WEP and WPA-PSK security standard protection. The device operates with an indoor range of 130ft (40m), a semi-open range of 330ft (100m), and an outdoor Line-of-Sight range of 1500ft (457m).
