CyberTAN unveils Digital Media Adapter

CyberTAN Technology, Inc. has introduced the MA-100, a wireless digital streaming device that allows users to enjoy a variety of media content on existing home entertainment systems, without the need to drill holes for wires or deal with extension cords.
The MA-100 integrates wireless technology at the IEEE 802.11b/g or 802.11a/g standard, according to user preference. The unit's integrated wireless module supports several video formats, including AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX and WMV.
Audio formats supported include WAV, MP1, MP2, MP3, WMA, AAC and WMV audio. Image formats supported include JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, and TIFF. The MA-100 offers users a friendly operating interface, displayed on a TV and navigated by means of the TV remote control.
As well, input to the MA-100 is compatible with USB 2.0, so users are able to take advantage of their existing wireless or wired network to watch video, play audio and view photos from a PC, local USB-attached hard disk drive, digital camera or other interoperable digital media device. This media adapter can play audio, images and video from online streaming resources, including CD-quality sources, Internet radio, and more.
