W-Channel provides
TC-Office environment software
|
W-Channel, a "professional software foundry," is providing customers a cost-effective solution to set up an Office environment. The W-Channel SIAS TC-Office lets users create an Office environment without paying any extra costs on Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat PDF converters.
The TC-Office is built on W-Channel's SIAS (Scalable IA Solution) architecture. This framework helps users extend their server based computing (RDP 5.1, ICA 7.0, XDMCP, and VNC) into local browsing with flash support. With the integrated local software, the TC-Office effectively reduces costly software licensing fees and server resources. Thus, TC-Office has one of the lowest total cost of ownerships in building a real office environment.
TC-Office seamlessly integrates all texts, worksheets, slides, presentations, charts, tables, and graphs from a single application by using an intuitive application bar or navigation pane.
Users can read or write Microsoft Office file format documents and save files directly to PDF format without Adobe Acrobat installed. The embedded office support gives one user interface and one file format on the integrated program.
The TC-Office from W-Channel is compatible with Microsoft Office 2003. A Paste Link command ensures all data is automatically update. With a built-in PDF converter, there is no need to install Acrobat. An embedded Kernel technology, on embedded Linux, provides a safe mode for administration configuration and maintenance. The TC-Office has a client for X font server. Local and remote storage is supported, whether via HDD, USB disk, or floppy disk. Also, remote shared folders or ftp server storage is supported.
A local USB or parallel port provides connection to the printer. TC-Office provides a SAMBA Server for local resource sharing of the HDD, CD-ROM, and USB disks. The SAMBA Server also shares the local printer. It has support for neighborhood functions. Networking tools include xhost, ping, trace route, ssh, and telnet. There is support for 10/100 Based Ethernet and PPPoE for xDSL Internet service access.
