DoTop introduces Pro-Mate
mobile presentation card reader

The Pro-Mate, from DoTop Technologies, is a regular USB 2.0 card reader that can be used as a mobile presenter. The unit supports most leading memory card formats. The Pro-Mate can display the following file formats via its S-Video connector: JPEG, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Adobe PDF. The display can be used, in particular, for projectors and TV. There is an integrated on-screen-display user interface, with IR remote presentation control.
The Pro-Mate is either bus-powered via the USB port, when working with a computer, or battery operated when working with display units. With the Pro-Mate, the consumer does not have to take a notebook PC along with them for presentations. All they need is a Pro-Mate and a flash card of their choice, at a fraction of the cost, weight and size of the notebook PC. The Pro-mate is the perfect business companion for anyone who does presentation on a regular basis.
As a USB 2.0 multi-slot card reader, the four sockets of the Pro-Mate support CompactFlash Cards (Type I and II), IBM Microdrive, 3.3V Smart Media Card, Secure Digital Card, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, and Memory Stick Pro.
DoTop Technologies is also offering the Dolly Drive, an external USB 2.0 Hard Drive capable of backing up data at up to 480Mbps. The unit uses simple push-button operation for data backup and restore, so backup software hassles are eliminated. There are selective backup and restore options (according to files). As well, the unit can function as a normal external mobile hard drive.
