The SH-5913A ISO-9001-certified 12.1-inch Industrial Panel PC is a fanless design supporting the VIA C3 processor with front-side bus at 100/133 MHz. Alternatively, the processor can be the low-voltage VIA Eden at either 533 MHz or 800 MHz and supporting an FSB at 133 MHz. The chipset is the VIA PLE133 VT8806 and VT82C686B.
The panel, for this Panel PC, incorporates a 12.1-inch TFT-LCD display with 800 x 600 resolution. Supporting more than 262,144 colors, this display has a luminance of 250 cd/m2, and a contrast ratio of 300:1. The VGA for this Panel PC is powered by the integrated Pro Savage 4 2D/3D video accelerator, and there is full internal AGP 4X performance. Resolution for 2D/3D graphics is up to 1920 x 1440, and DVD video playback is supported.
PC133/100 SDRAM is accommodated in two DIMM sockets, up to a total of 1 GB. Expansion is provided in the form of one PISA slot, which can fit either a PCI or an ISA riser card. Storage is supported by bays for one 2.5-inch drive and one 3.5-inch hard disk drive. In addition, there are bays for one 3.5-inch floppy disk drive. one slim-type CD-ROM drive, and for flash memory in the form of a DiskOnChip (DOC), with a capacity of between 8 - 576 MB.
This Panel PC boasts a full range of I/O ports, including three RS-232 serial ports, and one selectable RS-232/422/485 serial port. A DIO (Digital Input Output) port supports four inputs and four outputs. There are two parallel ports. There is 10/100 Ethernet LAN on-board, using the Realtek RLT8100B chipset.
