AAEON Technology announces low power 5.25" SBC

AAEON Technology Inc. has announced a 478-pin mFCPGA Socket/ 479-ball mFCBGA base compact board PCM-8200 series of single board computers. The PCM-8200 series is powered by the Intel Pentium M processor with the Intel 855GME chipset and an Intel 6300ESB I/O Controller South Bridge. The PCM-8200 is designed for high working efficiency with low power consumption.
The PCM-8200 supports Intel Pentium M and Celeron M processors up to 1.60GHz with 400MHz FSB. It also offers the option of onboard low-voltage Intel Pentium M processor 1.1GHz. The system memory holds up to 1GB with fast DDR 226/333MHz. The smart design of Intel 82541 Gigabyte Ethernet controller automatically powers down when no signal is detected. PCM-8200 presents no power waste on instruction execution per watt without sacrificing performance, and thus is able to maintain the system operations without overheating.
The 48-bit dual channel LVDS supports high quality LCD displays with resolution up to 1024 x 768. Its display memory shares up to 32MB of memory with the system memory, controlled via DVMT (Dynamic Video Memory Technology). Enhanced features of the DVI interface extend display options to digital signaled displays. The TV-out function is able to meet both NTSC and PAL standards. Thus, with the AAEON PCM-8200, display companions include CRT, LCD, digital TV and TV; offering flexible display monitor support. Additionally, functions of simultaneous display, dual view and screen image rotation are all offered.
