From CETRA To TAITRA

To better serve its patrons, the organizer (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) has changed its name from the previous name of CETRA (China External Trade Development Council). 

TAITRA has also moved the COMPUTEX website to the following address: www.ComputexTaipei.com.tw.

Overseas visitor pre-registration runs from April 16 to May 27, with badges to be picked up on-site. Pre-registration closes on May 27. On-site registration will take place from June 1 to 5.

FREE ONE-DAY CITY TOUR:

In the promotional "Visit Taiwan Year," visitors can join a free one-day tour of the National Palace Museum. Marvel at treasured collections, cherished by Chinese emperors over many millenniums.

Foreign participants that attend international conferences or exhibitions are welcome to register with the Visitor Information Center at the airport upon their arrival to get the free voucher for the National Palace Museum tour. 

Vouchers for a one-day Taipei tour are available at the Tourism Bureau's Visitor Information Center at the airport. Located in both Terminals 1 & 2, the Center sets 41 different brochure display shelves and booths to offer tourists information. 

These stands provide more than eighty kinds of maps, brochures and booklets published by the Tourism Bureau and other government institutes.

Starting from April 1, 2004, the Tourism Bureau will provide a toll-free phone number for visitors in Taiwan who have travel inquiries or need information. 

The 24-Hour information service is in Chinese, English and Japanese. The toll-free number is 0800-011-765. All visitors to Taiwan are welcome to make use of this free information service.
