SiS PCI Express Athlon 64 chipset
|
Silicon Integrated Systems has released its first PCI Express Athlon 64 FX North Bridge Chipset. The SiS756 supports the PCI Express X16 interface, which provides an 8GB/s bi-direction transfer rate, compared with the current AGP 8X standard of 2.1GB/s. PCIE 16X Graphics cards are already appearing on the market, and SiS756 customers will be well-positioned to take advantage of this huge step forward for desktop PC 3D graphics.
The SiS756 is ready for these applications, as it features SiS' leading HyperStreaming technology, integrated with AMD's exclusive 1GHz HyperTransport technology to deliver up to 2000MT/s. Moreover, SiS MuTIOL 1G technology, embedded in the SiS756 chipset, ensures smooth data transfer between the North and South Bridges and a fast bus architecture. Matched with SiS' latest South Bridge Chipset SiS965, the SiS756 offers a complete solution, simplifying sales and support.
SiS has also released the SiS656, a PCI Express and DDR2 Pentium 4 North Bridge Chipset. The SiS656 supports dual channel DDR2-667 and DDR400. 4 DIMMS are supported, with 1 GB per DIMM of RAM, for a total of 4GB of system memory supported. The SiS656 employs a flexible dual-channel memory architecture that supports all types and capacities of memory modules while retaining full dual-channel functions at a memory bandwidth up to 10.6GB/s with DDR2-667 modules and 6.4 GB/s with DDR400 modules. The SiS656 combines with the SiS695 South Bridge for excellent PCI-E support.
Silicon Integrated Systems will be in Hall 1, Booth D002, 004, 006, 008, 101, 103, 105, 107.
