Taiwantrade(http:// www.taiwantrade.com.tw) is an e-commerce Portal employing TAITRA's trade promotion resources and
strategic alliances with Taiwan industry and trade associations, eMarketplaces and other well-known trade websites, offering a wealth of trade information and services to businesses in Taiwan and abroad. Sponsored by the BOFT (Bureau of Foreign Trade), Taiwantrade is administered by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), Taiwan's largest non-profit trade promoter for more than 30 years.
In contrast to the majority of websites, Taiwantrade is a portal with substance. Providing ties to an array of some 12,000 companies and more than 150,000 product eCatalogs, Taiwantrade generates an enormous, well-connected supplier base.
Taiwantrade cooperates with well known Trade and Industry Associations that include Machinery, Bicycling, Electronics and Communication, Computers, Auto Parts and Motorcycles and more.
To make finding what you need easier, Taiwantrade uses the latest search engine technology. eCatalog Search allows users to locate products and suppliers with pin-point accuracy through keyword search, category search and advanced options search.
Taiwantrade has also incorporated a concept called enterprisePortals.
enterprisePortals are web pages that contain a company (or industry's) profile. Users can interact with individual Taiwan companies through their online office by viewing products in virtual display and inspecting company profiles.
An inquiry feature lets users immediately communicate with suppliers online. Click the "Add to Basket" button to select suppliers of your interest to submit your inquiry to one or multiple suppliers at the same time.
Database services provide the WHO, WHAT, and WHERE of Taiwan's annual US$271 billion in Imports and Exports. The databases contain unique and accurate government-supplied information inaccessible from any other place. For a nominal fee, Taiwantrade offers its members access to database services including detailed background information on 190,000 Taiwan companies and 1,241,800 export and 829,000 import product statistics by country and product.
As well, post your Buy and Sell notices on Biz Exchange. Biz Exchange is a FREE electronic bulletin board designed to help buyers and sellers contact each other. This service is free for Taiwantrade members around the world.
With a clear emphasis on personalized interaction, Taiwantrade creates a special web page for each member. This personalized web page shows only user specific information. Taiwantrade therefore acts as a filter, sifting through vast amounts of information so that users may utilize their time more efficiently. Members also are entitled to receive alerts regarding the most recent product and supplier news.
