Multimedia Center
|
Carry Computer has introduced the BSDR-DivX Portable
Multimedia Center. The device integrates a USB 2.0 card reader, multimedia player, and slim combination CD-RW and DVD ROM/re-writable drive into one unit.
With a battery set, AC adapter, or vehicle charger, the BSDR-DivX can be used anywhere, making it a true portable multimedia center.
The BSDR-DivX Portable Multimedia Center can be used as a stand-alone back-up system, copying data from a Flash memory card onto CD-RW or CD-R or DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW discs by pressing one key.
When connected to a TV, on the other hand, it can function as both a DVD player and a multimedia player. It can display JPEG image files, and also playback MPEG1 (VCD), MPEG2 (DVD), MPEG4 (based on the DivX codec) or MP3 files stored on a Flash memory card. In addition, it can read eight kinds of memory cards: SD (Secure Digital); MMC (MultiMediaCard); MS (Memory Stick); MS PRO (Memory Stick Pro); SM (Smart Media); CF I/II (CompactFlash Types I and II); the IBM Microdrive (physically compatible with CompactFlash Type II); and the xD-Picture Card. The unit connects to a host PC via USB (Universal Serial Bus) version 2.0.
The BSDR-DivX Portable Multimedia Center can be powered from a Mains supply and rechargeable battery (2200mAh /7.4V operation).
The unit is easy to install since it is Plug and Play, under the USB. The BSDR-DivX Portable Multimedia Center runs under Windows 98 /98SE /ME /2000 /XP and Mac OS 10.1.3 or later versions, plus Linux (kernel 2.4.0 above).
Carry welcomes OEM/ODM inquiries. The Carry Computer booth can be found at Hall 2, Booth B221/B223.
